Weigh-in News - SO EXCITED!!

So I wasn’t planning on posting until Monday but I was just so excited I had to share; I just weighed-in for the week (since I’ll be in Louisville tonight/tomorrow w/out my scale) and I lose 14 POUNDS this week!!  Now – in a normal situation, losing 14lbs in one week is neither recommended nor considered a ‘safe loss’.  BUT I know that there were a couple of different things contributing to my loss:
1.       Water weight.  In the weeks prior,  I hadn’t been drinking much water at ALL.  Maybe 1 bottle a day, and that’s it.  I drank alcohol, soda, coffee… and maybe a glass of water if I felt like I had to.  When you’re dehydrated, your body retains water to keep itself from dying, pretty much.  So this week I have been back to drinking a lot of water throughout the day, so I lost the extra water weight.
2.       Umm... the bathroom.  Another side effect of your body being dehydrated is that it is incredibly difficult to go ‘#2’.  (sorry, not very eloquent, I know)  Long story short, I drank a lot of water this week and I got rid of some stuff.
3.       Carbs.  As mentioned before, I had been eating a lot of carbs over the last couple of weeks.  This week I got back to my regular diet of low carbs. 
4.       Exercise!  I finally got back to the gym this week and ‘exercised the demons!’ 
I am SO excited about the loss and even more excited over what I’m seeing in the mirror.  I recently posted pictures on my Facebook of my uncle’s going-away party last Saturday and every picture I was like geez… I look SO puffy!  This week, I feel like I’m a lot less puffy and feel a lot better. 
Another reason I’m proud of myself:  Last night we were planning to have dinner at my mom’s house and she decided that they were going to just have KFC.  I knew that I didn’t want to put that into my body so instead I grilled Honey-Chipotle Salmon, Eggplant and Bell Peppers & Onions.  It was so delicious and I felt great after dinner! J  I was bad and ate 2 lemon-cherry cookies last night (baked for a fundraiser) but I had to taste-test, right?  Probably didn’t have to eat the entire cookie for a test but… I did. lol
Today is my ‘cheat day’, but I’m not going crazy.   I’m still having my regular breakfast and mostly regular snacks, but then tonight we’re going to my father-in-law’s birthday party after having dinner with my sister in Louisville – so that portion of my day will be the ‘cheat’.
