Well BRR all to hell! That makes no sense, but I’m freezing. I debated on whether or not to bring out my (faux – www.fabulousfurs.com J) fur coat this morning but I decided it wasn’t quite time. F all that, it’s coming out tomorrow! Speaking of my fur coats (yes, plural) I bought one 2 seasons ago b/c I was obsessed with it but have never really been able to wear it because it was too small… well you better believe I’m wearing it this year! Hell, maybe I’ll wear that one tomorrow! It’s presh, I’ll post a picture eventually J
So the gym this morning went pretty well… it was the most challenging workout of the week thus far, but I got through it all!
Here’s what I did:
Wednesday | Lbs@reps | |
3 Rounds for time: | ||
GoodMornings | bar@25 | |
DeadLift | bar@25 | |
Asymmetrical Squats | bar@15 ea/leg | |
Bike | 1 mile | |
TIME: | 22:22 |
It was a hamstring/butt kind of day. FYI – the ‘bar’ is a 45lb barbell. I definitely understand why weightlifters use those silly-looking foam noodle things on the bars when they’re squatting millions of pounds… I only had the 45lb bar on the back of my neck and lord I swear I’m going to have a bruise and/or permanent divot! It hurt so I rolled up my hoodie and put it under there for the last 2 rounds, which definitely helped! Tomorrow is running again! I’m excited J

Last night for dinner I made chicken sammies for Branden and a Portobello mushroom ‘burger’ for myself. I topped mine w/ sliced tomato, romaine lettuce, jalapeno slices and avocado and ate it on sprouted grain bread. I was planning to roast sweet potatoes with some squash but turns out, my squash was a BIT past it’s prime… so unfortunately, that had to go away. Instead, I made baked sweet potato fries and I swear, they were the best I’ve ever made! Just cut up 2 small sweet potatoes in like ½ “ ‘fries’, trimmed the pointy ends off so they were an even width through-out and laid them out on a foil-lined cookie sheet. I sprayed them generously w/ non-stick spray and sprinkled fine sea salt on both sides… baked at 415, turning after 15m and after another 10m until they were browning. They were so great! Kinda crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.. I just served w/ some steamed veggies and bada boom – dinner. Scrumptious!
I’m determined to stick to my gym regimen as the weather continues to get colder/crappier. Last winter I had a lot of issues w/ missing the gym because I just didn’t want to go outside and get in my freezing car first thing in the morning! I’m pre-telling myself to suck it up and get your butt out there… and that’s what I plan to do. No pain, no gain(or loss), right? J
Well, that’s all I have for today… Keep it classy.
