Hello there! Monday is upon us and I think autumn has REALLY set itself in place. The weather this weekend was fantastic and it’s getting colder as the week progresses… I have to say I absolutely love this weather and the upcoming holiday season!
This weekend was relatively uneventful (on purpose J) but here’s a quick recap:
Saturday: cleaned house, did laundry, went to the grocery and did a little shopping with Branden and Nora… that’s about it J I can’t remember exact food choices but I know there was a lot of chips & salsa (I’m addicted, I’ll admit) some ratatouille over brown rice… and I can’t remember what else
Sunday: Hung out with Nora then took her to King’s Island! It was fun, she was only able to ride a few of the rides but she enjoyed herself and that’s what matters J Oatmeal for breakfast, some pumpkin bread, and chipotle for dinner
I went to the gym this morning, week 2 of training has officially begun!
Here’s what I did today:

It was one of the easiest days but my arms were definitely burning! I can imagine they’ll be a little sore tomorrow, which is just fine by me!
Food Today:
Breakfast:
Low-Fat Vegan Pumpkin bread (I made more J)
Snack:
Oatmeal w/ raisins & cinnamon
Lunch:
Leftover chipotle (veggie rice bowl, no sour cream or cheese)
SnacK:
Salad (romaine, blackberries, apple, red onion, slivered almonds, craisins, light balsamic vinaigrette)
Snack:
Grapes
Dinner:
Vegetarian Chili (my first time making, I’ll follow-up tomorrow!)
So I bought Branden this really decadent ice cream (he’s a huge ice cream fan) and it looked so amazing so I took a bite… BIG mistake. Forgetting the fact that I really hadn’t had any dairy in my diet (outside of the 1 scoop of protein powder in my shake each morning) the entire week and it hit me almost immediately! I was nauseas and felt terrible! It made me realize very quickly that if this is the effect that dairy has on my body after only 1 week of abstaining from it, I really don’t need it in my body! You can almost guarantee that if you go 1 week without eating fruit and then grab a banana, you’re not going to feel like throwing up… I typically don’t miss the dairy or meat from my diet but I’m glad that I did take that bit, just as a reminder. BTW – today is officially 2 months without any poultry, red meat or pork in my diet. J
Well, that’s about all I have for today. I’m feeling kind of large and yucky (I have a 2 year-old, lay off) today but hoping that will subside soon.
Until tomorrow!
