Well, hello there. This weekend went by all too quickly – not unlike any other. The food choices were less than admirable for the most part and there was no exercise to speak of. Surprisingly, I only gained 2 ½ lbs last week, bringing my weight back up to a whopping 269.5 lbs. I’m very unhappy about this but with the condition of my knee improving, I am trying my best to be more positive and re-focus. I packed my normal healthy foods today and I am going to try to stick with what I brought. For some reason, rather than saying “Since I can’t workout, I am going to be EXTRA strict on my diet.” My mind says “Since I can’t workout, F a diet and eat what you want and we’ll pick back up when everything is in proper working order.” Fail. I’m trying to convince myself otherwise. Pathetic that I have to convince myself of this…
Anyway, I won’t go into much detail about the weekend but Friday was by far my worst day and included both pizza and a giant club sandwich from Applebees. Saturday lunch with mom was good (300 calorie salad from Panera) but I made cake pops that day (for what reason? No clue.) and I think I ate my body weight in chocolate. Yesterday was better, banana for breakfast, turkey burger for lunch and a healthy dinner of chicken/asparagus/brown rice.
I did go to the gym this morning, I figure even if I can’t do that much, I still want to get back into the habit of going on a regular basis.

As you can see, I didn’t do much.. but at least I did something? I really wish I didn’t owe Urban Active $1,500 (long story – from years ago) so I could switch gyms since they have a pool… hopefully I can sync schedules with the sweet Andrea B. so we can go swim together!
Either way, we’re leaving for Virginia (YAY!) this Thursday night and I’m hoping that my knee is much better by then. I have my fingers crossed to start running again the week after the 4th… cross yours, too J

Well, that’s about all I have for today. More ice and elevation is in my future! I appreciate the support and any spare healing thoughts sent my way!
