I felt really great afterward! I could definitely tell that the time I've spent jogging has helped increase my endurance and stamina (shown on my elliptical) quite a bit!
I ate pretty well, had regular food during the day then grilled chicken tacos for dinner last night.
This morning, I didn't go to the gym. Again, I just couldn't get my ass out of bed. The motivation has not been there this week.
This week has been less than successful, and I plan to see a gain as opposed to a loss on Sunday. I've eaten a lot of carbs and have not taken any walks (partially due to the fact that it's been like 100 degrees) nor have I been very committed to my regular workouts. My mind hasn't been in it, either. I'm not feeling great about this week but I knew when I started this that every week wouldn't be amazing.. some would be harder than others. This one has definitely been harder. My birthday is tomorrow and I've already decided (especially after having such a poor week) that I am going to just enjoy myself this weekend and re-focus (aka, kick my ass) next week!
I most likely won't be posting anything else until Monday, so I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Happy Birthday to me :)
Happy Birthday Ali! We all have days where we don't make the best choices, but that's what makes the diet work in the long run -- if we don't have "cheat days" then we will feel under so much pressure that we'll give up after some length of time. I've even seen diets that recommend that you have a "cheat day" once a month or some even said once a week to make sure that you don't stress yourself out and give yourself a reward, in moderation of course. I think you're doing a great job and I'm hoping that I can get the nutrition down like you have it -- unfortunately now I have to get a lot of foods that are quick to fix, which usually have a lot of sodium in them and preservatives. I don't have the time or energy after working all day and working out to then come home and make a meal from scratch -- I'm still working on that part of the deal. lol I hope you have a great birthday and we'll both be back to the grind on Monday!
