Great Workout to End the Week! 2/17/12

TGIF!!! I’m so happy that it’s Friday, I could pee.
Oh man, I had a GREAT workout this morning! After my first circuit I was sweating like a man and my legs felt like noodles and I knew it was going to rough one! Rough, it was – but I was really proud of myself, I didn’t slack off/cheat on/skip anything!! I did everything full out and I felt SO good! I fully anticipate a generous amount of pain tomorrow but I’m ready for it J
Here’s what I did:

Between each circuit I did 5 fast minutes on the elliptical going backwards. BTW – ‘retro’ just means backwards.
SOOO it was all butt/hamstring focused today! I like the workouts that I’ve done – I’ve had 2 upper body days and 2 lower body days and focused each on either the front or back of the body. The workouts have been great and felt really effective!

The food I still need to get a better handle on… for dinner last night I had chips and salsa and 2 of those little sandwiches I made before on the garlic bread w/ roasted red pepper, tomato, avocado, hummus and hot pepper relish. TOTALLY delicious but probably not the best choice.

Food Today
Breakfast
Protein shake immediately following workout
½ c granola w/ ¼ c soy milk and blueberries

Snack
¼ bowl of oatmeal w/ cinnamon and raisins… lunch came early lol

Lunch
Pizza – whole grain thin crust w/ pizza sauce, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, banana peppers and crushed red pepper. No cheese, obviously

Snack
Fruit & Nut trail mix

Dinner
Girl’s night tonight! We’re making baked avocado fries, roasted tomato bruschetta and edamame.. random but delicious lol

After we eat, we are going to the Mardi Gras celebration in the Mainstrasse Village! I’m really excited! I’ll most likely drink too much and feel like butthole tomorrow but I’m kind of okay with that lol. I need a fun night with some fun girls!

Alright, well that’s about all I have for the day… I’ll try to post again on Monday from NYC! I won’t be doing many extracurricular activities while there so I should have the time to post. J

Almost Me Again! 2/16/12

Hello there! Let’s just get down to it….
I had a great workout this morning! I felt really close to my normal self and it was awesome! I was sweating a bunch and I even threw some cardio in there and well.. I didn’t die so things are looking brighter! Lol

Here’s what I did:

For the weight, ‘BW’ means Body Weight..
Between each weight circuit I did 5 minutes at a fast pace on the elliptical…
Overall, I really enjoyed this workout! The renegade rows kicked my ass but I’m still glad that I did them. That is definitely something I just need to continue to do and get better at it… I can see how it will give a great result if I keep it up!

For dinner last night I made an asian stir fry… very similar to all of the others that I’ve made so I don’t feel like it’s necessary to post the recipe.. But it was yummy as usual!

Dinner
Spaghetti maybe?

Okay so about this picture… I did have my mom take another one this morning and I have it available BUT I’m wearing a white shirt and it’s damn near see-through.. and I really don’t want to push it. I mean seriously you can pretty much see my belly button!

There’s not really any change from last month… actually I weighed myself this morning and I am the exact same weight right now as I was on the picture day last month so I’m not exaggerating when I say ‘not much change’ lol..
I am determined to make March MY month though and get back at it full force!! I’m going to start buckling down on my food choices again and really bust ass in the gym! I’m determined to do big things this year and I need to get myself in gear to do so!
